The Traveller's Rest Tickhill is a pub and kitchen located in Tickhill Doncaster, South Yorkshire, known for by it's motto "Quality and service as standard". We are more than just a pub; we are a place where quality meets affordability.
Our Story
We come from a hotel background and transitioned to pubs about 20 years ago, offering hotel-quality dishes with pub-style sides. After many years and awards at The Ship at Bawtry and The Blacksmith's Arms Everton, and even a Bistro in France called Le Petit Cafe Anglais Le Nouhaud, We returned to the UK to support family during the Pandemic. The Traveller's Rest Tickhill was on the brink of closure when we were asked to take on the challenge of rescuing this lovely building . Over the last 9 months, it has thrived as a pub and games room. With the support of our son Neil and daughter-in-law Barbie, and your continued patronage, we aim to create our food offering and banqueting suite to the same high standard. We're introducing themed nights in the Westgate Room, a comprehensive bar menu, bike nights, and special events alongside our popular weekly Quiz Night on Wednesdays at 8pm.
Our Atmosphere
Our lounge provides a peaceful setting for conversation and good company, while the games room is more vibrant, featuring three wide-screen TVs, a pool table, darts, and Sky Sports.
